FAQ

How much do you charge for postage and packing?
That depends on how many and which items you're ordering and the country you're ordering from. Delivering to Germany we charge between 2,80 EUR and 6,70 EUR. For countries within the European Union and several others the postage and packing is between 5 EUR and 9,50 EUR. To all other countries we deliver from 9,00 EUR. You see the exact shipping costs at the checkout after you have entered your address and selected a payment-method. At that point you still can cancel your order.

How long is the delivery time?
Usually all orders leave our warehouse in Berlin within one working day. You will receive a confirmation e-mail when your parcel is dispatched. Orders paid for in advance (bank transfer, cash in letter) are sent as soon as we have accepted your payment. Unfortunately we can't influence the postal service's delivery time which is between one and five days in Europe and five to twelve days worldwide. Please get in touch if you have not received your parcel within the aforementioned times.

Which countries can I order from?
We deliver almost worldwide. For different reasons there are some countries where we can not deliver to from some or all shops. Right, this can change from band-shop to band-shop. Most likely there are legal reasons, why we can not deliver to a country. If your country doesn’t appear in the pull-down list at the checkout, we unfortunately cannot deliver to that country at the moment and you will have to abort your order.

Can I return goods that don’t satisfy me?
Yes. You can return unworn textiles and unopened data/sound mediums up to 14 days after you received them and will receive a refund. However, you will have to pay for the return postage if the value of goods is below 40 EUR. If the value exceeds 40 EUR we are liable for the postage. To prevent possible misunderstandings and overcharged postage fees, please send an e-mail to orders@themerchsociety.de with your order number and your request in advance. We'll get back to you immediately. Please consult our order conditions for further information.

I ordered the wrong item. Can I cancel my order?
Yes. In this case please: as soon as possible! If your order isn't sent out yet we won't charge you any additional postage fees. Send us an e-mail to orders@themerchsociety.de with your order number and the wrong items. If you want to alter your order please state that as well and tell us about the changes. You'll receive a confirmation e-mail after we have successfully changed your order. If your parcel is already on its way the terms of the next question apply. Please consult our order conditions for further information.

When a shirt doesn't fit, can I exchange it?
That goes without saying. But please don't send it back without telling us in advance. Please write an e-mail to orders@themerchsociety.de with your order number, your name and your desired size. We will get back to you and if the size is in stock we will exchange it after you have returned the item. Please consult our order conditions for further information.

Can I return data or sound mediums?
The exchange of CDs, LPs and other mediums is possible if the items are unopened and unused. In this case the time limit of 14 days also applies. We can't exchange opened or used data or sound mediums. Before sending anything back, please write us an e-mail. Please consult our order conditions for further information.

I had a wrong item in my order or something's missing. What can I do?
That shouldn't be the case, but can happen sometimes. Please send us an e-mail to orders@themerchsociety.de, includ your name, your order number and an explanation of what went wrong with your order. We will make every endeavour to solve the problem at your convenience.

How can I pay?
We offer five ways of payment: credit card, bank transfer in advance, bank account debit (Germany only), cash in advance and cash on delivery (Germany only). No matter how you order, your data is always transmitted encrypted through secure server communication. The credit card transactions are processed by our partner, WorldPay. Consequently, a misuse of your data is debarred. Some ways of payment aren't available in all countries. For cash on delivery we have to charge you an extra fee of 4 EUR.

How do the shirts' sizes turn out?
When no additional information is provided we usually use standard shirts like "Fruit of the Loom Screen Stars" or "Premium". Just take a look shirts you already own. You most likely possess such a shirt and will be able to check out your size. If a shirt is particularly big or narrow, this is mentioned in the item description.

Can I order via telephone?
No, we currently do not take phone orders. If you have a problem while ordering online please write us an e-mail. If you don't get an answer we might be experiencing technical problems. In this case you can call us during the business hours. You will find our telephone number and further contact details under contact.

How do I get a 'The Merch Society' Shop for my Band?
It’s really simple. Just send us an e-mail to info@themerchsociety.de. Include which band you're representing and a link to the band's homepage. We'll get back to you with further information.
